A unique international orchestral collaboration will take centre stage at Preston’s Encounter Festival this September, bringing together musicians from Preston and Germany for a special celebration of culture, community and friendship.
The concert, Two Cities One Symphony, marks 70 years of the twinning partnership between Preston and Recklinghausen. Preston Symphony Orchestra will join forces with the Youth Symphony Orchestra of the City of Recklinghausen for a one-off performance at the Guild Hall Atrium on Saturday 19 September, from 6pm to 7.15pm.
Audiences can look forward to an inspiring evening of orchestral music featuring talented musicians of all ages. Expect a varied programme of music ranging from Phantom of the Opera to music from the movie Pirates of the Carribean. The joint performance highlights the value of Preston's twinning relationship with Recklinghausen.
